Abstract

The recent advancements in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning provide opportunities for researchers and scientists to convert the related data into a meaningful knowledge through computational-based models that can assist in disease diagnosis, examination, and virus containment. In this paper, we provide an extensive study on how machine learning is helping in delivering efficient responses towards COVID-19 effects. In this context, we focus on how machine learning impacts on level of disease severity using chest X-ray imaging and CT imaging. Moreover, we discuss the limitations, constraints, and pitfalls related to this approach.
