(a) Exploration of the distribution of the β' precipitates in an Al matrix with an average diameter of (10 ± 2) nm, and high Zr concentration in its core.
(b) A proxigram composition profile from the isoconcentration surface of 5 at.% Zr gives the chemical composition of the β' phase as (23± 2) at.% Zr, (1.8 ± 0.5) at.% Li, (1.6 ± 0.4) at.% Cu (0.25 ± 0.1) at.% Mg and (0.4 ± 0.2) at.% Ag with an Al / Zr ratio close to 3:1.
(c) The top view of the reconstructed volume displays separately the alloying elements: Zr, Li, Cu, Mg and Ag. The figure indicates the segregation behavior of solute atoms at the β'/ matrix interface.
