Table 6b: Weekly food costs (€/week) of a child by age in Ireland.
Household food costs based on the Minimum Essential Standard of Living food baskets developed in 2012 [3] updated using the Irish Consumer Price Index for ‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages [7]. The proportion of food costs attributable to each child in every household was based on the Nelson Scale and described elsewhere [3].
