SSRI: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor; TCA: Tricyclic antidepressant; Other ADs: noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressants, serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, serotonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor, bupropion and ademetionine. Adherence was classified as low (<20%), medium (20-80%) and high (≥80%) on the basis of proportion of days covered.
